Easily Animate Text With Type-O-Matic

Coming up with new and creative ways to animate text in After Effects can be difficult and time consuming. Type-O-Matic developed by Hamo Studio tries to solve this problem by automating the process, kind of. It comes with 3 different types of animation that are totally customizable, so your project won’t look like any other.

As you can see, it is a pretty powerful tool and looks great. Below are the instructions and video that show you how you can customize this for your next project.

  • Download project files.
  • Import the controller.aep, masked.aep or unfold.aep to the library.
  • Open change_font_HERE! composition, select all layers and choose font.
  • Open alphabet composition, select and copy the letters you need to form a word.
  • Create a new composition, paste and composite the letters.
  • Render scene
